| Resumo |
Na sociedade contemporânea, com a utilização expressiva das tecnologias digitais, um novo
tipo de bullying que se situa no ciberespaço, o Cyberbullying como é conhecido, está cada
vez mais crescente. Um dos fatores nocivos dessa comunicação virtual são os assédios
(verbal, moral e sexual) que podem ocorrer impactados pela tecnologia. Dentre as formas de
agressões está o compartilhamento e a divulgação de fotos e vídeos sem autorização, além de
manipulação de imagens sem o consentimento da pessoa. Esta pesquisa objetiva identificar os
fatores que determinam o fenômeno do Cyberbullying e suas consequências, além de
conhecer estratégias de prevenção e enfrentamento na dinâmica escolar. Para tal, a pesquisa
utilizada foi a Bibliográfica de caráter exploratório. Serão apresentados e discutidos estudos
sobre características e consequências do Cyberbullying selecionados nas seguintes bases de
dados: Pepsic, Scielo, PubMed, Google Scholar e Periódicos da CAPES; bem como anais de
congressos e as Leis existentes para a Tipificação Penal do Cyberbullying. Como resultados
foi possível identificar e refletir sobre as formas de violência e possíveis caminhos para uma
melhor compreensão, e consequentemente estratégias para prevenir e enfrentar situações de
Cyberbullying na contemporaneidade. Como ponto de partida para uma discussão
observamos a imprescindibilidade de pesquisas sobre a temática e a conscientização de
(crianças, adolescentes, jovens e adultos) que a divulgação de conteúdos que denigram a
dignidade, honra ou imagem do outro é crime e possui penalidade efetiva.

Abstract: In contemporary society, with the expressive use of digital technologies, a new type of
bullying that takes place in cyberspace, Cyberbullying as is known is increasingly growing.
One of the harmful factors of this virtual communication is the harassment (verbal, moral and
sexual) that can occur impacted by technology. Among the forms of aggression is the sharing
and dissemination of photos and videos without authorization, as well as manipulation of
images without the person's consent. This research aims to identify the factors that determine
the phenomenon of Cyberbullying and its consequences, in addition to knowing prevention
and coping strategies in school dynamics. For such, the research used was the Bibliographical
exploratory character. Studies on characteristics and consequences of cyberbullying selected
in the following databases will be presented and discussed: Pepsic, Scielo, PubMed, Google
Scholar and CAPES Periodicals; as well as congress proceedings and the existing Laws for
the Criminal Classification of Cyberbullying. As a result, it was possible to identify and
reflect on the forms of violence and possible paths for a better understanding, and
consequently strategies to prevent and face cyberbullying situations in contemporary times.
As a starting point for a discussion, we observe the need for research on the subject and the
awareness of (children, adolescents, youth and adults) that the dissemination of content that
denigrates the dignity, honor or image of the other is a crime and has an effective penalty.
