RESUMO
As pesquisas sobre o uso da internet por adolescentes aumentaram nos últimos anos e as manifestações de agressividade, preconceitos e discriminações têm ganhado destaque. Diante dos possíveis riscos e sofrimentos vivenciados por adolescentes nos ambientes virtuais, evidencia-se a necessidade de aprofundar as investigações sobre tais manifestações. Deste modo, os objetivos desta pesquisa foram analisar, discutir e descrever algumas percepções de adolescentes sobre os usos na internet, identificando seus interesses, bem como os ambientes considerados tóxicos, além dos preconceitos e medos associados aos ambientes virtuais. Para a coleta dos dados, utilizamos um questionário on-line, com questões abertas e fechadas, apresentadas por meio do Google Formulário, aplicado em uma amostragem de 89 alunos de 6º a 9º anos de uma escola particular no estado de São Paulo. A metodologia utilizada foi um estudo exploratório, de caráter descritivo, contando com dados quanti e qualitativos. Após descrição e análise dos dados, os resultados indicaram que os jogos estão entre os temas de maior interesse dos adolescentes na internet, seguidos de conteúdos de humor e música. Os dados evidenciam que os adolescentes percebem as redes sociais como sendo os ambientes mais tóxicos na internet e que, nelas, já vivenciaram ou presenciaram algum tipo de preconceito ou hostilidade. Logo, seus maiores medos em relação à internet estão vinculados ao temor de serem expostos e de sofrer algum tipo de preconceito.

ABSTRACT
Research on internet use by teenagers has increased in recent years and manifestations of aggressiveness, prejudice and discrimination have gained prominence. Faced with the possible risks and suffering experienced by adolescents in virtual environments, the need to deepen investigations into such manifestations is evident. Thus, the objectives of this research were to analyze, discuss and describe some teenagers' perceptions about internet usage, identifying their interests, as well as the environments considered toxic, in addition to the prejudices and fears associated with virtual environments. For data collection, we used an online questionnaire, with open and closed questions, presented through Google Form, applied to a sample of 89 students from 6th to 9th grades of a private school in the state of São Paulo. The methodology used was an exploratory, descriptive study, with quantitative and qualitative data. After describing and analyzing the data, the results indicated that games are among the topics of greatest interest to teenagers on the internet, followed by humor and music content. The data show that adolescents perceive social networks as the most toxic environments on the internet and that, in them, they have already experienced or witnessed some type of prejudice or hostility. Therefore, their biggest fears regarding the internet are linked to the fear of being exposed and suffering some kind of prejudice.
