RESUMO
A presente tese tem como objetivo estudar as estratégias de produção de livros de literatura infantojuvenil voltados para alunos do Ensino Fundamental, buscando descrever os mecanismos semióticos subjacentes ao discurso didático e editorial manifestados nas obras. O córpus é composto, especificamente, de dois livros da Coleção Meu Amigo Escritor, organizada por Álvaro Cardoso Gomes e publicada pela editora FTD: O poeta que fingia, de Álvaro Cardoso Gomes e O poeta do exílio, de Marisa Lajolo. Partimos do pressuposto de que o livro infantojuvenil faz parte de uma prática editorial e que, além de seu fim mercadológico, anuncia, como um de seus propósitos, aproximar, por meio de uma prática didática “facilitadora”, os estudantes das noções de literatura e leitura. Sob esse aspecto, esta pesquisa busca descrever o processo semiótico de organização de tais livros, distinguindo as instâncias das práticas (cenas predicativas), das estratégias (práticas enunciativas) e dos textos-enunciados (verbais, visuais e sincréticos) que o produzem, na qualidade de objetos autônomos. Segundo nossa hipótese, além das práticas editorial e didática, que são dominantes, as práticas mercadológica, científica e literária também teriam uma função específica na sua organização geral, com vistas à produção de um discurso unívoco. A relevância dessa pesquisa dá-se por três vias: discute a presença do livro impresso em sala de aula e suas projeções discursivas; descreve como os enunciadorespráticos se projetam em tais obras, confirmando ou não a natureza didática ou facilitadora da obra; e avança nos estudos relativos às práticas semióticas, propondo encaminhamentos metodológicos que demonstram sua pertinência e aplicabilidade. A pesquisa é fundamentada pela semiótica francesa, em especial as propostas teóricas da semiótica discursiva, das práticas e visual, tendo em vista os estudos de Jacques-Fontanille sobre os “níveis de pertinência da análise semiótica”, de Jean-Marie Floch acerca das questões de “visualidade”, de José Luiz Fiorin no que tange à enunciação; e a contribuição de Gérard Genette para a noção de “paratextos”.

ABSTRACT
The present thesis aims to study the production strategies of children’s literature books aimed at elementary school students, seeking to describe the semiotic mechanisms underlying the didactic and editorial discourse manifested in the works. The object of analysis will be specifically two books from the Collection My Friend the Writer, organized by Álvaro Cardoso Gomes, published by FTD: O poeta que fingia, by Álvaro Cardoso Gomes and O poeta do exílio, by Marisa Lajolo. We assume that the children's book is part of a publishing practice that, in addition to its marketing purpose, announces as one of its purposes that of bringing students closer to the notions of literature and reading, by means of a “facilitating” didactic practice. Under this aspect, this research seeks to describe the semiotic process of organization of such books, distinguishing the instances of practices (predicative scenes), strategies (enunciative practices) and the text-utterances (verbal, visual and syncretic) that produce them as autonomous objects. According to our hypothesis, besides the editorial and didactic practices, which are dominant, the marketing, scientific and literary practices would also have a specific function in its general organization, aiming at the production of a univocal discourse. The relevance of this research is threefold: to discuss the presence of the printed book in the classroom and its discursive projections; to describe how the enunciatee-readers and enunciator-practitioners project themselves into such works, confirming or not the didactic or facilitative nature of the work; and to advance in the studies related to semiotic practices, proposing methodological directions that demonstrate their relevance and applicability. The research will be based on French semiotics, especially the theoretical proposals of semiotics of discourse, semiotics of practices and visual semiotics, taking into account Jacques Fontanille’s studies on the “levels of relevance”, the issues of “visuality”, by Jean-Marie Floch, the studies on enunciation by José Luiz Fiorin and the contribution of Gérard Genette on the notion of “paratext”.
