| Resumo |
RESUMO
Neste trabalho, apresentamos os resultados concernentes à nossa pesquisa de mestrado.
Nossos objetivos eram os seguintes: 1) compreender como se dá a construção da significação
no romance brasileiro Opisanie Swiata, de Veronica Stigger (2013), por meio da semiótica
greimasiana; 2) determinar qual é o impacto dos agenciamentos singulares dessas linguagens
nas relações entre o enunciador e o enunciatário; 3) verificar em que medida esse texto,
enquanto sujeito e objeto de práticas semióticas, incorpora demandas ou injunções que lhe são
externas, conectando-se intimamente com o momento histórico em que surge e com a cultura
em que está imerso. Para tanto, realizamos uma análise dos planos do conteúdo e da expressão
do texto-enunciado. A análise do nível fundamental permitiu que apreendêssemos duas
categorias semânticas que regem a significação do texto: continuidade vs. descontinuidade e
ser vs. parecer. No nível narrativo, vimos que o programa narrativo de base, que consistia na
viagem de Opalka para visitar seu filho enfermo, não era suficiente para que falássemos do
romance. Fomos forçados a falar também de outras narrativas dentro da narrativa principal e
também de narrativas paralelas para que pudéssemos mostrar essa composição de narrativas
que se justapõem ou se sobrepõem. Pelo exame do nível discursivo, revelamos como o
sincretismo opera e como ele contribui para exacerbar a sensação de fragmentação. Em
seguida, envidamos nossos esforços para mostrar que a combinação de gêneros textuais e
discursivos intensificavam o efeito de fragmentação. Falamos, finalmente, dos liames que o
texto constrói com seu entorno, com outras obras, sejam literárias, sejam obras de arte
plástica, sejam composições musicais, lembrando que o próprio romance nos mostra algumas
das referências na seção “Deveres”. No que concerne ao plano da expressão, demonstramos
que as categorias semânticas continuidade vs. descontinuidade e ser vs. parecer são
homologadas por categorias cromáticas e topológicas.

ABSTRACT
In this work, we present the results related to our Master’s research. Our goals were: 1) to
understand how the signification is constructed in the Brazilian novel Opisanie Swiata, de
Veronica Stigger (2013), by means of the discursive semiotics; 2) to determine the impact of
the combined use of the languages in the relation between the enunciator and the enunciatee;
3) to verify to what extent this text, as a subject and an object of some semiotics practices,
embody external demands and injunctions, connecting with the historic moment in which it
emerges and with the culture in which it is immersed. For this purpose, we analyzed the
expression and the content plans of the text. The analysis of the fundamental structures
allowed us to apprehend two categories: continuity vs. discontinuity and being vs. appearing.
Regarding the narrative structures, we saw that the basic narrative program, which consisted
in Opalka’s trip to visit his seriously sick son, was not enough to talk about the novel. We
were forced to talk about other narratives inside of main narrative and we were also forced to
talk about parallel narratives in order to show the composition of the overlapped and
superposed narratives. The exam of the discursive structures revealed how syncretism works
and how it contributes to exacerbate the feeling of fragmentation. After that, we strived to
show that the combination of discursive and text genres intensified the fragmentation effect.
Finally, we talked about the links that the text constructs with its surrounding, with other
literary works and with artworks in general, reminding that the novel itself shows us some of
its references through the section “Deveres”. With regard to the expression plan, we
demonstrated that the categories continuity vs. discontinuity and being vs. appearing are
homologated by the chromatic and topological categories.
