ABSTRACT
This paper investigates the extent to which teacher training in Spanish as a foreign language approaches or distances itself from the teacher presumed in the High School Curriculum Guidelines (OCEM), as these documents reveal clarity in the conception of education and in the objectives of each subject (VILLALBA, 2013, p.14). In this context of linguistic policy "it is necessary to review the role of Universities and Faculties in relation to the regional and national community, which, in turn, demands a new political (VILLALBA, 2013, p.14) in order to understand the complex way of understanding the role of the Spanish-speaking teacher in Brazil. As a result, the question that guides this research is: "What is the profile or profiles of Spanish as Foreign Language (ELE) teachers that underlies an ELE teacher training course and official documents of the Ministry of Education. Thus, our corpus of analysis consists of the OCEM of 2016 - official document of the Ministry of Education - and the Political Educational Project of the course of “Letras” of the São Paulo State University (UNESP), Araraquara. For the proper fulfillment of this research, we support our analysis in the French discursive studies, based on the works of Michel Pêcheux and Michel Foucault, which appreciated, precisely due to its specificity, the articulation between discourse, ideology and history, relying, mainly, on the concepts of discursive memory, interdiscourse and articulations of knowledge and power.
KEY WORDS: Spanish foreign language. Teacher training. Language policy. OCEM. Political pedagogical project.
