| Resumo |
A presente pesquisa visa estudar a variação de preposições em textos de cartas de leitoras de revistas femininas atuais brasileiras e portuguesas, tomando como referência os estudos em Sociolinguística e Linguística Histórica. Busca-se com base na relação entre mudança linguística e escrita, estabelecer uma relação maior entre tal mudança e os gêneros textuais, uma vez que o gênero textual carta de leitoras mostra-se bastante permeável à oralidade. Para tanto, levou-se em consideração as mudanças sintáticas, sendo posteriormente selecionadas quatro preposições a, até, em e para identificadas como variantes em contexto de complementação verbal no português. Levando-se em conta esses fatores, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo estabelecer uma possível relação entre alternâncias na organização dos constituintes de uma sentença em revistas femininas que trabalham com variedades do português brasileiro e europeu, buscando evidenciar os casos de variação linguística através da análise das cartas de leitoras presentes nesses veículos de comunicação. Para alcançar esse objetivo geral, tem-se como base os seguintes objetivos específicos: (i) determinar qual ou quais são as preposições que introduzem o complemento de predicadores de direção, de movimento com transferência e de transferência (material e verbal/perceptual) e como se distribuem em termos de frequência; (ii) identificar que fatores de natureza linguística e extralinguística explicam essa distribuição; (iii) determinar em que medida essa distribuição revela padrões diferentes de uso em relação à norma vigente; (iv) estabelecer de que forma a noção de gênero textual é capaz de esclarecer esses processos de mudança. Essa análise seguirá os pressupostos teórico-metodológicos da Teoria da Variação e Mudança (Labov 1972, 1982, 1994) e as informações obtidas foram tratadas estatisticamente, por meio da utilização do pacote estatístico GOLDVARB.

ABSTRACT
This research aims to study the variation of preposition in texts of letters from readers of Brazilian and Portuguese womens magazine, taking as reference the Sociolinguistic and Historical Linguistic studies. The search is based on the relationship between language change and writing, establish a greater relationship between this change and textual genres, since the genre "letter of readers" appears to be quite permeable to orality. For such, it was took into account the syntactic changes, being subsequently selected four prepositions a, até, em and para - identified as variants in the context of verbal complementation in Portuguese. Taking into account these factors, this research aims to establish a possible relationship between alternations in the organization of the constituents of a sentence in women's magazines that work with varieties of Brazilian and European Portuguese, seeking to highlight the cases of linguistic variation through the analysis the letters from readers present in these media. To achieve this general objective, it has been based on the following specific objectives: (i) determine which one or ones are the prepositions that introduce the complement of predicators of direction, physical motion and transfer (material and verbal / perceptual) and how they are distributed in terms of frequency, (ii) identify which linguistic and extralinguistic nature factors explain this distribution, (iii) determine how far this distribution reveals different patterns of use when related to the current standards, (iv) establish how the notion of genre is able to clarify these processes of change. this analysis will follow the theoretical and methodological principles of the Theory of Linguistic Variation and Change (Labov 1972, 1982, 1994) and the collected data were treated statistically by using the statistical package GOLDVARB.
