RESUMO
Na literatura e na arte não encontramos uma profunda discussão teórica acerca da figura do vilão ou reflexões sobre a sua constituição. Para a Vladimir Propp, por exemplo, teórico da literatura, os personagens que constituem uma obra narrativa – inclui-se o vilão – assumem-se funções, dispositivos que trabalham para o bem-maior da narrativa. O antagonista, em Propp, funciona para gerar desconforto no herói, desafiar seu egocentrismo, a fim de que o protagonista se desenvolva e progrida, inicie seu processo de individuação. Para Christopher Vogler e Joseph Campbell, as perspectivas conversam entre si, pois a partir da narrativa mítica, os personagens são abordados como máscaras, facetas que compõem o todo estético do herói e agem na progressão do enredo, funcionando como um catalisador da própria narrativa. As duas perspectivas, em primeira análise, convergem na função do vilão em questionar, desequilibrar o status quo, refletir o lado sombrio do herói para, ao final, ser sobrepujado. No entanto, o vilão para nós não é tão simples. A partir do conceito de protocolos ficcionais (ECO, 1994) estabelecidos, analisaremos o personagem Lord Voldemort, originário da obra Harry Potter (1997 - 2007) a fim de que, ao decorrer da pesquisa, seja possível definir padrões, características em comum e recorrências. A presente pesquisa propõe um debate sobre a constituição do vilão, caracteriza-se por cotejo e supõe etapas de descrição, análise e interpretação do corpus. Ao decorrer da pesquisa, conforme a conveniência, lançaremos mão dos conceitos de Joseph Campbell, Christopher Vogler, Carl Gustav Jung, Umberto Eco, entre outros, a fim de promover um aprofundamento e o vislumbre inicial de uma possível jornada do vilão.

ABSTRACT
In literature and art we do not find a deep theoretical discussion about the figure of the villain or reflections on its constitution. For Vladimir Propp, for example, a literature theorist, the characters who constitute a narrative work – including the villain – assume functions, devices that work for the good-greater narrative. The antagonist, in Propp, works to generate discomfort in the hero, challenge his egocentrism, so that the protagonist develops and progresses, begin his process of individuation. For Christopher Vogler and Joseph Campbell, perspectives talk to each other, because from the mythical narrative, the characters are approached as masks, facets that make up the whole aesthetic of the hero and act in the progression of the plot, functioning as a catalyst of the narrative itself. The two perspectives, in the first analysis, converge in the role of the villain in questioning, unbalancing the status quo, reflecting the dark side of the hero to, in the end, be overcome. However, the villain for us is not so simple. From the concept of fictional protocols (ECO, 1994) established, we will analyze the character Lord Voldemort, originating from the work Harry Potter (1997 - 2007), so that, during the research, it is possible to define patterns, common characteristics and recurrences. This research proposes a debate on the constitution of the villain, characterized by collating and supposes stages of description, analysis and interpretation of the corpus. During the research, according to convenience, we will use the concepts of Joseph Campbell, Christopher Vogler, Carl Gustav Jung, Umberto Eco, among others, to promote a deepening and initial glimpse of a possible journey of the villain.
