RESUMO
No início de nossas pesquisas sobre o feminino em narrativas de transmissão oral, bem como seus registros escritos e textos literários de autoria conhecida, detectamos símbolos associados a um poder feminino sobre o ciclo de vida, morte e transformação ou regeneração. Notamos, todavia, que as personagens femininas dotadas desse poder foram sendo gradualmente substituídas pelo herói masculino, de forma diretamente proporcional à instauração das sociedades patriarcais. Observamos, ao longo da pesquisa, que muitas obras críticas e/ou analíticas passam ao largo do feminino, não apenas privilegiando a figura do herói, mas também revelando uma visão de mundo androcêntrica, eurocêntrica, urbana e, não raramente, etnocêntrica. A fim de identificar elementos que refletem estereótipos decorrentes desse padrão, houvemos por bem adotar como forma de abordagem de narrativas de tradição oral a concepção de mundo animista conforme expressa por Irving Hallowell, segundo o qual todos os seres são pessoas, das quais apenas uma parcela se compõe de humanos. A partir dessa perspectiva, estudamos a individuação dos seres, os diversos tipos de transformações que se processam nessas narrativas, e como esse conjunto de dados manifesta uma visão sobre o outro, principalmente quando esse outro é a mulher. Sob esse enfoque, lidamos primeiramente com imagens e textos que buscam associar a figura feminina com o grotesco, o selvagem, o monstruoso e o perigoso. Buscamos demonstrar como, paulatinamente, os vários textos – da oralidade à literatura de autoria conhecida – denotam um roubo de identidade da mulher, tanto por meio de violências explícitas quanto pelo que denominamos “roubos de peles”, que distinguimos do assim chamado motivo do “cônjuge animal”.

ABSTRACT
At the beginning of our research on the feminine in oral transmission narratives, as well as their written records and literary texts of known authorship, we detected symbols associated with a feminine power over the cycle of life, death and transformation or regeneration. We have noticed, however, that the female characters endowed with this power were gradually replaced by the male hero, directly proportional to the establishment of patriarchal societies. We observed, throughout the research, that many critical and/or analytical works bypass the feminine, not only privileging the figure of the hero, but also revealing an androcentric, Eurocentric, urban and, not infrequently, ethnocentric worldview. In order to identify elements that reflect stereotypes resulting from this pattern, we decided to adopt the animist worldview as expressed by Irving Hallowell, according to which all beings are people, of which only a portion is made up of humans. From this perspective, we study the individuation of beings, the different types of transformations that take place in these narratives, and how this set of data manifests a vision about the other, especially when that other is the woman. Under this approach, we deal primarily with images and texts that seek to associate the female figure with the grotesque, the wild, the monstrous and the dangerous. We seek to demonstrate how, gradually, the various texts – from orality to literature of known authorship – denote a theft of the woman's identity, both through explicit violence and through what we call “fur thefts”, which we distinguish from the so-called “animal spouse” motif.
