RESUMO
A crônica é, sem dúvida, um dos gêneros mais populares da literatura brasileira, com tradição de grandes autores e, consequentemente, muitos leitores. A tentativa de compreensão sobre este gênero passa por alguns caminhos, como a definição de seus suportes, o modo diferenciado com que confronta o limite do literário e o mercadológico, sua representação do espaço local do autor dentro do texto, além da intencionalidade clara de dialogar com um leitor que seja inteiramente inserido no tempo presente. A intenção deste trabalho, então, é trazer algumas hipóteses de reflexão para a crônica contemporânea brasileira, levando em consideração três perspectivas sobre seus espaços: a primeira, discutirá o “espaço” no qual é produzida atualmente, tanto no suporte impresso quanto no suporte digital; a segunda, entrará na discussão dos caminhos do ciberespaço e de que modo estes são representados dentro do “espaço literário” do gênero atualmente, pensando que a crônica usa a questão do recorte local de seu autor como uma de suas bases conceituais; a terceira, entrará no entendimento da condição de perda de referência local que atinge diretamente o sujeito contemporâneo, na qual se debruçará nos conceitos da desterritorialização e gentrificação. Para que este exercício interpretativo se torne completo, coloca-se em prática todas as discussões levantadas a partir da análise de um conjunto de crônicas, composto pelos quatro nomes mais representativos do gênero na atualidade – principalmente no que diz respeito ao alcance de suas obras: Gregório Duvivier, Antonio Prata, Tati Bernardi e Xico Sá. Portanto, a ideia principal da tese é demonstrar que o cronista representa um excelente modo de compreender, de maneira dinâmica e complexa, as situações e concepções que formam sua época, afinal, não existe gênero que se alimente mais do tempo presente do que a crônica.

ABSTRACT
The chronicle is undoubtedly one of the most popular genres in Brazilian literature, with a tradition of great authors and, consequently, many readers. The attempt to understand this genre goes through some paths, such as the definition of its supports, the differentiated way in which it confronts the market and literary limits, its representation of the author's local space within the text, and the clear intention to dialogue with a reader that is fully inserted in the present tense. The intention of this work is to bring some hypotheses of reflection to the contemporary Brazilian chronicle, taking into account three perspectives on their spaces: the first one, will discuss the "space" in which it is currently produced, both in printed and digital support ; the second, will enter into the discussion of the ways of cyberspace and how they are represented within the "literary space" of the genre currently, thinking that the chronicle uses the issue of the local cut of its author as one of its conceptual bases; the third, will enter into the understanding of the condition of loss of local reference that directly affects the contemporary subject, in which he will focus on the concepts of deterritorialization and gentrification. For this interpretive exercise to become complete, all the discussions arising from the analysis is put in practice on a set of chronicles, composed of the four most representative names of the genre at the present time – mainly with regard to the scope of their works, are put into practice: Gregório Duvivier, Antonio Prata, Tati Bernardi and Xico Sá. Therefore, the main idea of the thesis is to demonstrate that the chronicler represents an excellent way of understanding, in a dynamic and complex way, the situations and conceptions that form his time, after all, there is no gender that feeds more of the present time than the chronicle.
