RESUMO
A presente pesquisa apresenta como objetivo geral, compreender a formação inicial do pedagogo acerca da percepção dos conceitos de gênero no âmbito da Educação Infantil, assim como contribuir para sua melhor prática docente através de uma proposta interventiva. O trabalho com a formação inicial focada nas relações de gênero na infância foi motivado por compreender a existência da necessidade de um contato sistematizado com as temáticas. Caracterizada por um estudo empírico com uma abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa, a pesquisa enquadra-se em uma pesquisa-ação, trazendo o uso de um questionário como forma de coleta de dados. A demanda sinalizada foi contemplada em um curso ofertado aos estudantes, abrangendo questões teóricas e práticas divididas em dois dias de aplicação. O universo da pesquisa compreendeu duas turmas de 50 alunos cada, distribuídas no período diurno e noturno do curso de Pedagogia de uma Universidade Estadual Pública. Os resultados obtidos demonstraram uma defasagem no conhecimento da temática exposta, visto que as lacunas existentes no que diz respeito ao trabalho da Educação Sexual e Gênero tornam-se ainda mais escassas se atrelado à Educação Infantil. Além da necessidade de investimento na formação inicial para o preparo efetivo dos estudantes, uma vez que a postura docente no âmbito escolar reflete positiva e negativamente no comportamento das crianças.

ABSTRACT
This research presents as general objective, to understand the initial formation of the pedagogue about the perception of the concepts of gender in the scope of the Early Childhood Education, as well as to contribute to its best teaching practice through an intervention proposal. The work with initial formation focused on gender relations in childhood was motivated by understanding the existence of the need for a systematic contact with the themes. Characterized by an empirical study with a quantitative and qualitative approach, the research fits into an action research, bringing the use of a questionnaire as a form of data collection. The signaled demand was contemplated in a course offered to students, covering theoretical and practical questions divided into two days of application. The research universe comprised two groups of 50 students each, distributed during the day and night period of the Pedagogy course of a Public State University. The results obtained showed a gap in the knowledge of the exposed theme, since the gaps regarding the work of Sexual and Gender Education become even scarcer if linked to Early Childhood Education. In addition to the need for investment in initial training for the effective preparation of students, since the teaching posture in the school environment reflects positively and negatively on the behavior of children.
