| Resumo |
Nesta dissertação destaca-se e analisa-se as distintas interpretações acerca da forma da industrialização no período que abrange o Governo Getúlio Vargas (1951-54) evidenciando (em concordância com as orientações tecidas de cada autor) quais foram as circunstâncias conjunturais, tanto econômicas, quanto político-instituicionais (internas e externas) precedentes à 1951 e do próprio período (1951-54), que, em seu conjunto, tornaram historicamente possíveis as decisões e orientações políticas e econômicas adotadas. Além disto, o trabalho se propõem tecer uma investigação sobre as possíveis influências oriundas da proposta de Vargas que foram (supostamente) herdadas no Governo de Juscelino Kubitschek (1956-61), buscando relevar se houve, entre estes dois Governos, rupturas ou continuidades nos planos e ações tomadas em prol do desenvolvimento industrial brasileiro.
O presente trabalho está estruturado em três capítulos que cada um sediará uma das três diferentes interpretações sobre o teor ideológico por trás do projeto de desenvolvimento econômico e industrial adotado pelo Governo de Vargas (1951-54). Evidenciando também a discussão, que em muitas vezes não foi consensual, entre os próprios autores que compuseram cada capítulo das possíveis influências que tal posicionamento repercutiram no Governo de Kubitschek.

ABSTRACT
This dissertation emphasizes and analyzes the different interpretations about the project of industrialization in the period that covers the Getúlio Vargas Government (1951-54) , evidencing (according with the guidelines constructed by each author) what were the conjectural circumstances, as both economic and institutional as policies (internal and external) which preceding the 1951 and the own period (1951-54), which on the whole, become historically possible the political and economic decisions and guidelines adopted. Moreover, this work proposes to build a investigation into the possible influences arising from the Vargas´s proposal that were (supposedly) "inherited" in the Government of Juscelino Kubitschek (1956-61), seeking to reveal whether there had been between these two governments, disruptions or continuities in the plans and actions taken on behalf of the Brazilian industrial development.
This work is structured in three chapters which each host one of the three different interpretations of the content ideological behind the project economic and industrial development adopted by the Vargas government (1951-54). Evidencing also the discussion, which often was not consensus between the authors who composed each chapter about the possible influence that such an approach have affected in the Government of Kubitschek.
