| Resumo |
RESUMO
A proposta da tese consiste num recorte que faz reflexões referentes à trajetória dos
egressos cotistas negros e pardos na e pós-universidade (UERJ, UNEB, UENF, UnB,
UEL). Utilizaremos como referenciais teóricos principais as contribuições de Norbert
Elias (processo civilizador, habitus social), Pierre Bourdieu (habitus, capital, campo),
Florestan Fernandes (ajustamentos interraciais), Otavio Ianni (metamorfose do
escravo em negro) e Carlos Hasenbalg (desvantagens cumulativas), para entender o
contexto de elaboração e inserção de ações afirmativas, em especial as cotas raciais.
A análise das Instituições de Ensino Superior se concretizou por meio de coleta de
dados em artigos, monografias, dissertações, teses e entrevistas com egressos
cotistas da Universidade Estadual de Londrina. Apresentamos uma discussão sobre
as políticas compensatórias voltadas para as ações afirmativas, em especial, as cotas
raciais universitárias implantadas nas instituições superiores do Brasil, indagando o
percurso e seus resultados. Como hipótese defendemos que as políticas ou ações
“afirmativas”, empreendidas pelo Estado brasileiro, servem para amenizar possíveis
confrontos, visto que o Estado brasileiro participou de Conferências da ONU e fez
acordos internacionais para amenizar a desigualdade racial e social. Também,
entendemos nas como uma forma de dar resposta às organizações negras, que
sempre protestaram mostrando as formas precárias de inserção da população negra
no País, ao qual sempre em condições subalternas e inferiores, mas que não
conseguiu impactar, ainda, o Habitus social brasileiro, encaminhando um novo
processo civilizador capaz de metamorfosear as condições que reforçam a
discriminação, o preconceito racial e o racismo.

ABSTRACT
The thesis proposal consists of a reflection that refers to the trajectory of the graduated
black and brown graduates in the post university (UERJ, UNEB, UENF, UnB, UEL).
We will use as main theoretical references the contributions of Norbert Elias (civilizing
process, social habitus), Pierre Bourdieu (habitus, capital, field), Florestan Fernandes
(interracial adjustments), Otavio Ianni (metamorphosis of the slave in black) and Carlos
Hasenbalg (Cumulative disadvantages), to understand the context of elaboration and
insertion of affirmative actions, especially racial quotas. The analysis of Higher
Education Institutions was accomplished through the collection of data in articles,
monographs, dissertations, theses and interviews with alumni quota holders of the
State University of Londrina. We present a discussion of the compensatory policies
aimed at affirmative action, especially the university racial quotas implanted in the
higher institutions of Brazil, investigating the course and its results. As a hypothesis,
we argue that the "affirmative" policies or actions undertaken by the Brazilian State
serve to alleviate possible confrontations, since the Brazilian State participated in UN
Conferences and made international agreements to alleviate racial and social
inequality. Also, we understand them as a way of responding to black organizations,
which have always protested by showing the precarious forms of insertion of the black
population in the country, which always under subaltern and inferior conditions, but
which could not yet impact the Brazilian social habitus, leading a new civilizing process
capable of metamorphosing the conditions that reinforce discrimination, racial
prejudice and racism.
