RESUMO
Este estudo é uma investigação de gênero por meio das personagens Guta e Maria Moura (de As três Marias e Memorial de Maria Moura de Rachel de Queiroz). Ao analisar as inscrições culturais e imposições de gênero, foi nosso intuito observar como essas mulheres reagem aos padrões estabelecidos de comportamento e às limitações impostas a elas em detrimento de serem mulheres. Por meio do método hermenêutico de interpretação de Paul Ricouer, pudemos problematizar as questões observadas no contexto dos romances aqui estudados e analisar as realidades e noções de gênero encontradas a partir dos conceitos de Judith Butler e Joan Scott. Foi proposta deste trabalho identificar os meios pelos quais se dão as resistências das Marias de Rachel de Queiroz em um contexto no qual os caminhos da mulher são sinônimos de limitação e invisibilidade. Através dos conceitos de gênero e do ser-se mulher, buscamos encontrar as várias significações para as subjetividades femininas presentes nos romances aqui analisados. Identificamos que é por meio censura de suas liberdades que essas personagens criam meios para suas transgressões e resistências. O casamento, a religião, a sexualidade e o poder são aspectos aqui estudados, uma vez que fazem parte da conjuntura e instituições de dominação da mulher. As duas personagens aqui analisadas apresentam comportamentos de quebra da norma social, fazendo assim de seus descaminhos do normativo o escape para vivências que não seriam possíveis. Guta e Moura transgridem a concepção de mulher a elas impostas e criam suas próprias definições do ser mulher, denunciando os dispositivos por trás da imposição de gênero e compondo para si uma liberdade antes não experienciada.

ABSTRACT
This study is a gender investigation composed by the analysis of Guta and Maria Moura (from As três Marias and Memorial de Maria Moura, by Rachel de Queiroz). When analyzing cultural inscriptions and gender impositions, it was our goal to observe how these women react to established patterns of behavior and to the imposed limitations duo to being women. Through Paul Ricoeuer's hermeneutic method we could question the observed contexts and analyze the realities and the gender notions found through the concepts defended by Joan Scott and Judith Butler. The proposal of this study was to identify the means by which the resistances of Rachel de Queiros' Marias happen, in a context that being a woman is usually equal to limitation and invisibility. Through the concepts of gender and women's self-being (ser-se mulher), we searched to find the various meanings to the feminine subjectivities present in the analyzed books. We identified that it is by the censorship of their freedom that these women create the means for their transgressions and resistances. Marriage, religion, sexuality and power are some of the aspects here studied, once they are part of the context that structure women's domination. Both characters present behaviors of outbreak of the social norms, using their own struggles to live things that wouldn't be possible. These women, by escaping the given and imposed definition of woman, and creating their own, revealing the mechanisms behind gender imposition and creating a sense of freedom never before experienced.
